  Wright Way Films

Wright Way Films is run by Robert H. Wainwright and Iannis Aliferis. This partnership has its roots back in 2009 when Robert auditioned and got the lead part of Joshua in the short film 'Exodus'; which was written and directed by Iannis. Robert was also featured in Iannis' satirical feature play 'A Priest in Love', in the dual roles of Jesus and God. Sharing a love for movies and having a background in acting and writing, Robert and Iannis decided to join forces and create Wright Way Films in late 2011 with the aim of producing quality short movies and with the goal of working their way towards producing feature length productions.

Wright Way Films have completed seven short movies so far in various genres. They include 'Lady Crimson', 'Ambrosia', 'Waiting', 'Six Seconds to Die', 'Ethel', 'Headz' and 'Flesh'. They have also produced an original song for 'Flesh' titled 'Raw', as well as a music video for the song.

'Headz', has won a Silver Award at the 2016 Los Angeles Film Review Independent Film Awards and a Gold Lion Award at the 2016 London Film Awards. While recently, 'Flesh' won a Bronze Award at the Spotlight Horror Film festival, 2017.

Robert H. Wainwright is an actor and writer based in London. He trained as a lawyer prior to undertaking the full-time acting course at The Academy Drama School in London, and he also has ten years experience working in legal research, writing and editing in London. A dual national of the UK and Australia, Robert predominantly plays English roles, with nine years experience in screen and stage acting throughout the UK, as well as a range of presenting, voice work and photographic jobs. Robert's recent screen work includes playing the JASP head of security in the upcoming aviation thriller feature film 'A Dark Reflection', which was produced by Fact Not Fiction Films. Since forming The Wright Way Productions with Iannis in late 2011, Robert, as well as co-producing, has taken major roles in all of the group's films, namely: 'Lady Crimson', 'Waiting', 'Ambrosia', 'Six Seconds To Die', (which he also wrote), and 'Ethel'. He also wrote the lyrics and contributed vocals for the theme tunes to 'Lady Crimson' and 'Waiting'. 'Headz' is his first foray into the world of directing.

Iannis Aliferis studied Creative Writing at Middlesex University in London and has completed acting courses at the WAAPA, in Western Australia, as well as the The Bull Academy in London. He has performed on stage and in various independent films, most notably in projects for Borderline Shorts Ltd and Evergreen Media Europe Ltd. Acting and writing were followed by a large interest in the actual formation of film projects, so in 2009, Iannis completed various film-making courses at Raindance, as well as attending the Guerilla Film-making Masterclass Weekend course. In the same year, Iannis directed his short script 'Exodus', which was produced by Borderline Shorts Ltd, a film that won the Johnson Trophy for Drama in the same year and a BIAFF 4 Star Award in 2010. He followed that by writing, producing and directing the feature play 'A Priest in Love', which was performed at The Network Theatre in Waterloo. Since then, Iannis has written and directed various short films under the Wright Way Films banner, as well as writing two feature screenplays for Evergreen Media Europe Ltd. Along with screenwriting, Iannis has written stories for online comic book publications and has been contributing material to the House of Writers blog page ‘The Grind: Making it as a Writer’. Iannis has also been writing prose for his own blog page titled ‘Phobos, Tales of Horror and Motel Medusa’, which is a page dedicated to both horror stories and pulp noir.
